Tami's
Statement
Self-educated
from the central
coast of
California, I
grew up with a
natural affinity
toward the arts,
and a highly
tuned visual
awareness.
I
was fortunate to
work side by
side with some
exceptional
artists through
the years, who
encouraged me
and became the
mentors who
showed me the
way to celebrate
my talent, which
has, in turn,
led me to
numerous awards.
In practice, my
skills have
evolved from
experimentation
in media
including
bronze, wood
carving, and
stained glass.
But my favorite
is mixed media
clay, and for
the past ten
years I have
chosen to
capture in this
medium my
fascination for
the expressive
emotional
character
revealed in
people and their
loving
connection to
their pets. My
quest is to
capture the bond
between
man/woman and
their best
friend, enriched
with spirit and
personality.
This is joyful
work with a
sensitivity to
detail, and I am
richly rewarded
by the
enthusiastic
response of my
friends and
clients for whom
I have captured
the moment to
preserve and be
reminded of
forever.
"The dog
has been
esteemed and
loved by all the
people on earth
and he has
deserved this
affection for he
renders services
that have made
him man's best
friend." |
